Why Third Party Testing Matters

In the research peptide industry, quality claims are easy to make and difficult to verify unless a supplier is willing to show their data. At PurePeptidex, we built our quality assurance program around one principle: every COA we publish must be independently verifiable.

That means:

We take this approach because reproducible science requires verified materials. If you are relying on a compound
for your research, you deserve to know its purity, its molecular identity, and the chain of custody behind it. That is
what purepeptidex.com provides.

Our Testing Methodology

Each compound in the PurePeptidex catalog undergoes a rigorous analytical workflow before it is offered for sale.
Our testing approach covers four core dimensions of quality:

Purity Analysis — HPLC

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) is the gold standard analytical method for measuring peptide purity. It separates the target compound from synthesis by-products and impurities, generating a chromatogram that shows the relative proportion of each component. Our COAs report HPLC purity as a percentage — typically 98–99%+ for compounds in our catalog. The chromatogram data is included in or available alongside each COA.

Molecular Identity — Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)

Mass Spectrometry confirms that the compound you have ordered is what it is labelled as. By measuring the precise molecular weight and fragmentation pattern of the compound, LC-MS analysis validates the peptide's identity at the molecular level. This eliminates any ambiguity about what is in the vial.

Net Peptide Content

Purity by HPLC measures organic impurities but does not account for water content, residual salts, or non- chromophore materials. Net peptide content testing provides a more complete picture of the actual active compound present by weight. Where available, this data is documented in the COA.

Consistency Across Batches

Reproducibility is critical for research programs. PurePeptidex conducts quality control testing on every new batch, not just during initial product qualification. Batch-to-batch consistency is documented through our COA archive, allowing researchers to compare lot data over time.

How to Read a Certificate of Analysis

If you are new to reviewing COA documentation, this brief guide explains what to look for and how to interpret the key data points.

Purity Percentage

Look for the HPLC purity value, expressed as a percentage. This indicates the proportion of the total sample that is your target compound, as detected under UV at the specified wavelength. A value of 98% or above is generally considered acceptable for research-grade peptides. 99%+ indicates excellent purity for quantitative assays.

Molecular Identity Confirmation

The mass spec data should show an observed molecular weight that matches the theoretical molecular weight of the peptide. A match within accepted tolerance confirms that the compound is what it is labelled as.

Lot Number

The lot or batch number connects the COA to the specific manufacturing batch. Always cross-reference the lot number on your product vial with the lot number on the COA to confirm you have the correct documentation.

Testing Laboratory

A legitimate COA will name the testing laboratory. If you wish to independently verify the results, contact the laboratory directly, referencing the report ID or lot number. This is always possible with PurePeptidex COAs.

Test Date

Check that the COA is recent and corresponds to the batch date of the product you have received. Older test dates on actively sold products may indicate the supplier is re-using documentation from earlier batches — which is a red flag that does not apply to purepeptidex.com.

PurePeptidex

Quality You Can Verify. Research You Can Trust.

What Researchers Are Saying

PurePeptidex has become our go-to supplier for GLP-1 research compounds. The COA documentation is thorough, the purity is consistently above 99%, and shipping is reliably fast. Highly recommend for any serious research program.

Research Scientist

Independent Laboratory

I have ordered BPC-157 / TB-500 blend and NAD+ from purepeptidex.com multiple times. Every batch comes with a full third-party lab report I can verify independently. That level of transparency is rare in this industry.
